The Wild Rift Icons 2022 groups were announced shortly after the conclusion of the play-ins. Similarly to the play-ins, the Wild Rift Icons 2022 groups feature four groups of four teams each. Let’s take a look at each of the groups in the group stage.

Wild Rift Icons 2022 Groups

Group A

Group A in the Wild Rift Icons 2022 groups features Team Flash, Leviatan, Nova Esports, and T1. The seeded teams in this group are the WCS’ first seed, Team Flash, and the WOL’s champions, Leviatan. Meanwhile, the top seed of the play-ins’ group A, the WRL’s Nova Esports is also in this group. Lastly, the WCK’s third seed T1 rounds up this group.

 

Group B

Next, let’s take a look at group B. This group features Sengoku Gaming, Team Queso, J Team, and Rex Regum Qeon. The seeded teams in this group are Sengoku Gaming and Team Queso. Sengoku Gaming are the WJC’s champions. Meanwhile, Team Queso is the first seed coming from the WEC. J Team, who placed first in group C during the play-ins are also in this group. Finally, the Filipino representatives and third seed of the WCS, Rex Regum Qeon, is the final team in group B.

 

Group C

Thirdly, group C of the Wild Rift Icons 2022 groups has FunPlus Phoenix, Omegha Esports, Buriram United Esports, and the Flash Wolves. This group features tournament favorites and the first seed of the WRL, FunPlus Phoenix. The second seeded team in this group is Omegha Esports, the WBR champions. The WCS’ second and fourth seed Flash Wolves and Buriram United Esports round up this group.

 

Group D

Finally, the fourth group is group D. This is the group where Rolster Y, Immortals, JD Gaming, and Liberty will be competing in. Rolster Y, the WCK champions, and Immortals, the WNS champions, are directly seeded in this group. JD Gaming, who topped the play-ins group B, and Liberty who finished second in group D, are the last two teams in the group.
