The 2023 Valorant Champions Tour season will start soon, and it will be very different from what we’re used to.

There are now three regional leagues with ten teams each, which is a significant improvement over earlier competition cycles.

The format of the 2023 season will also alter slightly from past ones. The entire year will be jam-packed with Valorant action, from a major 30-team kick-off tournament in February to Challenger Leagues, Masters, and LCQ.

It turns out that the 2023 Champions Tour will take us to Japan for Valorant’s second-ever event in Asia, and fans are, to put it mildly, over the moon.

Riot announced Masters Tokyo for VCT 2023

The well-known first-person shooter will have another event in the area in Japan the following year, it was announced at the Riot Games ONE Pro Valorant invitational there.

Sometime in 2023, Tokyo will serve as the host city for a Valorant Masters event. Despite no specific date being established, it is safe to assume that Masters Tokyo will take place in June given that it is the sole Masters competition planned for the 2023 campaign.

So far, Reykjavik and Berlin have been selected for several events, with most of Valorant’s internationals taking place primarily in Europe.

The first tournament to be hosted on a continent other than Europe was Valorant Champions, which took place in Istanbul, Turkey, as a change of scenery.

In Japan, Valorant is likewise incredibly well-liked; thousands of people attend their regional competitions. The idea that an international competition would be coming to Tokyo excited the crowd during the live announcement.

In 2023, VCT is likely to visit several continents, beginning with So Paulo, Brazil in February for the Lock-In event.
