Valorant PH announces Siklab Invitational

Valorant PH, a community-driven discord group, has recently announced the Siklab Invitational. The Siklab Invitational is a tournament for Filipino Valorant players that will run from June 28 to July 1. This tournament will feature eight teams competing for a Php 25,000 prize pool.

Tournament Details

Open Qualifiers

The Siklab Invitational begins on June 28 with a 64-team open qualifier. This open qualifier follows a best of 1, single-elimination bracket format. The four teams who make it all the way to the open qualifier’s semifinals will compete in a best of 3 to decide the two teams who will advance to the group stage. Joining the two winners of the open qualifiers in the group stage are six teams that were pre-selected and directly invited by the tournament’s organizers.

Half of the tournament’s pre-selected and invited teams include three teams who participated in Valorant PH’s Closed Beta Closeout tournament. These three teams are EXE, Adroit, and Malakas Mag Kompyuter. The other half of the Siklab Invitational’s pre-selected and invited teams are newer teams who have quickly established themselves in the growing Filipino Valorant esports scene. These other three teams are Aneno Knights Gaming, Ronin Valorant, and ANBU Elite Gaming.

Group Stage

The Siklab Invitational’s group stage will run from June 29 to 30. Here, the eight teams of the group stage will be divided into two groups of four. Each team plays against other teams in their group in a best of 1 round robin. Afterwards, the top two teams from each group will advance to the tournament’s playoffs.

Playoffs

Closing out the Siklab Invitational is the tournament’s playoffs on the first of July. The final four teams who made it to the playoffs will compete in a best of one semifinals where the first seed of each group will face the second seed of the other group. Finally, the two teams who reach the grand finals will compete in a best of three series to decide the tournament’s champion.

Commentary and Broadcast

Veteran FPS caster Dathan “Daks” Rosales and content creator Paco “Vyminal” Santos will provide commentary for the Siklab Invitational, which will be broadcast live on Daks’ Twitch channel.
