VALORANT: How to Play Jett

by | Mar 28, 2023 | Guides - Valorant, Valorant

Korean duelist Jett performs best with the wind at her back. Jett’s gear is ideal for you if you like to play aggressively and push the envelope. If you want to make the most of this agent, you can refer to this Valorant Jett tutorial.

Agility is the key to Jett. Her ability to engage the enemy head-on while dodging retaliatory fire puts her in a league of her own, except for Reyna, perhaps.
If speed, accuracy, and lethality are your top priorities, Jett is the agent for you. If you can master her skills, she can perform some fantastic mechanical outplays while adding a ton of mobility and speed to any team.

When attacking, Jett may quickly approach defenders from strange angles and dispatch them while utilizing her smokes as cover. She can also assist in taking a bomb site with ease. She may play aggressive angles or vertical angles on defense, then immediately retreat to safety after a kill on the opening play. However, it can also be quite simple to get overly aggressive with Jett, which could result in a swift demise and irate teammates.

Is Jett the right agent for you?

  • The most agile agent, she can dash into the spike site faster than everyone
  • Blade Storm is great for close combat and sniping

  • Jett’s Cloudburst is much worse than Brimstone’s or Omen’s smokes
  • Blade Storm requires excellent aim to utilize it successfully.
  • Her arsenal consists mainly of mobility and not much else.

Now They See You, Soon They Won’t

Smoke and Blast Your Way Through

Whether Jett is on the offensive or defensive side, her Cloudburst provides the squad with usefulness. It can deter an opponent push into a location she is defending or give comrades useful cover when they rush onto a site. Throwing Cloudburst onto a site and sending Jett into the smoke is a great play to use with her. As the defenders rush to get rid of Jett, her teammates close behind her and take out the disoriented defenders.

Jett can employ Updraft and Tailwind to quickly maneuver and uncover unexpected angles on her opponents that they wouldn’t typically anticipate. In order to get some large picks, she can even position herself before the game starts on top of specific boxes or ledges. Jett is the ideal agent for those that are adept at using the Operator because Tailwind can be utilized to quickly flee after grabbing an opening kill. But as a result of a recent patch, players can no longer employ Tailwind solely on demand; instead, they must activate a timed window in order to use it.

How to play Jett

You’re Fast, But not Invincible

Jett can obtain several multi-kills by fusing her mobile and smoke skills with her ultimate, but only if you have good Blade Storm precision. Her ultimate can instantly take down a close-range enemy with a Blade Storm right click or can kill adversaries with one headshot, even while in the air. However, it’s crucial to keep in mind that the Blade Storm blades only reload after a left-click kill. Even if you kill them, you won’t get them back if you right-click them all at once.

You only have power over how aggressive you choose to be. Because Jett lacks crowd management, if you encounter a well-organized squad, they will likely drop you if you don’t have a team supporting you. Although it will be alluring to throw some smoke, charge in, and attempt a hero play, Jett isn’t invincible.

Best & Worst Maps for Jett

Jett’s maneuverability and verticality let her reach numerous spots that provide high angles across the maps. With her agility, she can easily dash through places and give her team an advantageous position. Because of this, Jett is playable on any maps, but she really excels at Ascent and Breeze.

  • Ascent
  • Breeze
