T1 Zeus: from shadows to Worlds Finals MVP

When it came to League of Legends, T1's journey in 2023 was full of ups and downs. But Choi "Zeus" woo-je, the team's top laner, never gave up. A lot of bad things happened this year. The worst was when T1 midlaner Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok hurt his wrist during the...

The regular season of the Pacific Championship Series 2020 officially came to an end on 1st August. The top 8 teams have fought tooth and nail to claim their spots in the playoffs. In this article, we will look at some of the best teams of the season and see their chances of winning the Summer Season title.

JTeam

JTeam made its first appearance in the 2016 LMS Summer Split. The year 2019 was remarkable for the team as they took home the LMS Summer Split title and have managed to compete in the 2019 World Championship.

They didn’t have the best start this year since they finished at 7th place during the Spring Split’s regular season games and was the first team to get eliminated from the playoffs. Now they are back with guns blazing as they sit at the first spot in the regular season, holding an incredible feat of winning 15 in 18 matches. We believe that the team holds all the talent in the league to claim the Summer 2020 title and stand a chance of qualifying for the Worlds 2020.

Ahq eSports Club

Ahq eSports is one of the few teams in the region that have a long history. They are one of the most decorated teams in the Pacific region. They surely are a force to be reckoned with. With the team’s history and experience, we think that they will be quite confident in doing well in the playoffs as they have plenty of titles to their name.

The team has produced consistent results in the PCS. Since they ended the Spring regular season at 2nd spot with 14 wins in 18 matches. They hold a similar feat in the Summer Season with a 14-4 record. However, they will be aiming for a better result in the Summer 2020 playoffs as they lost to Talon in the semi-finals of the Spring Season.

Talon Esports

Unarguably the best team in the Pacific Championship Series 2020 is Talon Esport. Talon holds multiple titles in Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. They are all set to win two back-to-back PCS titles as they head to the playoffs.

The team finished at 3rd spot in the regular Spring season and was not in shape to win the title. However, Talon Esports proved the critics wrong. After losing to Machi in the upper bracket, they made a remarkable comeback against Ahq in the lower bracket. After that, they went on to win the title after taking another comeback win against Machi in the finals. Now they sit at 3rd place and will be eyeing another title for their trophy cabinet.

This concludes our analysis of the three of the strongest teams in the PCS. We are confident that you will see at least one of these teams in the grand finale. There is also a high chance that one of them may very well win the Summer Split title. We hope that you enjoyed the article. Feel free to leave your feedback in the comments.
