Riot’s Tactical Shooter Valorant has witnessed an increase in pick rates for old favorites, while newer Valorant agents appear to be left in the dust.

Valorant is a game that is frequently focused on your character and equipment. It is critical to ensure optimal coordination and utility consumption in order to win. Riot has introduced several more agents to the mix since its initial release, with each kit frequently increasing in complexity, making them more challenging to learn and raising their skill ceiling.

However, it appears that higher-ranked Valorant players have stayed with the old trustworthy lineups, since data from Blitz.GG shows newer agents like Harbor, Yoru, Chamber, and Neon all left with a 1% pick rate.

Pick Rate Differences

Meanwhile, fan favorites such as duelists, Jett, Reyna, and Raze lead the ladder, with Killjoy taking the second top spot.

Jett was the most popular agent in the Radiant lobby during Episode 6 Act 1.
Because the top dogs are typically picked by duelists, less popular options of the same archetype, such as fast Neon and deceitful Yoru, end up towards the bottom. Radiant gamers appear to be staying away from these new agents at both 1% pick rates.

Harbor, the newest agent, joins Yoru and Neon on the roster. Harbor’s water-based skills allow him to cut lines of signs and divide up the battlefield in the same way that other controllers do. Despite the enhancements he’s received since his debut, he doesn’t appear to be a fan favorite amongst players in his early days. With a pick rate of only 1.2%, he’s surpassed by other controllers that appear to do a better job, such as Viper.

Chamber was Valorant’s newest sentinel, and he wasn’t just good at first; he was completely overwhelming. Chamber has been going through a hard patch ever since various nerfs to his teleport, Trademark, Headhunter, and Tour De Force. He is no longer the dominant force he once was, with a meager 1.4% pick rate, with Radiant players flocking towards Killjoy and Sage. Finally, the king has passed away.
