Deck list for Enduring Sacrifice

Deck Code: CEBQEAQFAQDAGAIBAMLCEBIBAUFR4KBQGEBQCAQFAEAQEAIHAMAQKBYZGUAA

Hello! My name is Kairux and this is my first post on the Legends Of Runeterra Deck Review series. As the title suggests, I will be reviewing decks that I find and play against on the SEA ladder. Today I will be reviewing Enduring Sacrifice; a midrange Shadow Isles + Freljord deck.

Deck Overview

Enduring Sacrifice is a midrange deck that has the tools to pressure your opponent throughout the game. This Legends Of Runeterra deck boasts a lot of flexibility. Depending on your starting hand, this deck offers options for both early or mid-game pressure while still passively gaining momentum for that big end game finish if your opponent still has not succumbed to your relentless attacks by then. Furthermore, adding a few control and hand-replenishing options makes this deck more consistent and even tougher to deal with. With all of these factors, it makes sense that this is currently the top deck in the ladder.

Gameplay

In the starting mulligan, you would want to have an Omen Hawk and a Cursed Keeper with either a Ravenous Butcher or a Blighted Caretaker. Elise is also a good option early on to sacrifice and to build up They Who Endure stacks at the same time.

An Omen Hawk turn 1 always makes me feel good, even more so if either Elise or Kalista gets the +1s. Barkbeast is also a good turn 1 drop especially if you have a Cursed Keeper + Ravenous Butcher combo in turn 2. Successfully connecting that combo, you can dish out a whopping 10 damage in the second turn. Another early game combo is the turn 3 Blighted Caretaker + Cursed Keeper combo, also dealing with a total of 10 damage but with the bonus of possibly disrupting your opponent’s early game set up by utilizing the Sapling summoned by the Blighted Caretaker.

By turn 5 or 6, dropping Neverglade Collector gives you a good foothold in the mid-game. Draining health from each allied unit that dies as long as it is on the field is no joke, which is why Haunted Relic has amazing synergy with this card. If you have not dealt enough damage in the early game for the late game finish, then this unit is the one you need to turn the tables around.

Having had your units destroyed in the early and mid-game paves the way for the big one, They Who Endure, in the late game. This deck was built to easily drop a huge They Who Endure helping you wrap things up. Coupled with Atrocity, dealing 15+ damage in one turn will not be too difficult.

Tech Options

> Rhasa the Sunderer – his ability can easily be activated in this deck. It can be used to destroy small blockers or isolated big units in the late game.

Deck Matchups

> vs. Aggro – you can easily wall off an aggro deck’s advances by going for the early game combos of Enduring Sacrifice. Small recovery and blocking are possible early on in the game by utilizing Vile Feast. Dropping Neverglade Collector by turn 5 while not being in the red yet is pretty much a guaranteed win.

vs. Midrange – try to overwhelm midrange decks in the early game to gain tempo. Enduring Sacrifice hits harder than most of these decks in the first few turns. By mid-game, try to wither down their units by trading wisely while replenishing your hand. You get the upper hand in trades if you have Neverglade Collector. If you execute well, finishing up with They Who Endure would not be difficult.

> vs. Control – timing is key in this match-up. Making good use of Glimpse Beyond to units targeted by spells is essential to replenish the units lost in the board. Fury Of The North is also one of the key cards in this match-up to be used in protecting important units such as Kalista and Neverglade Collector against removal spells. Fast spells that try to answer They Who Endure can be countered by Atrocity. Make sure to play around cards like Deny or burst spells that can incapacitate or destroy essential board pieces.

Conclusion

Enduring Sacrifice is a well-rounded deck that is both flexible and consistent. I enjoyed using this deck as it has an answer to the most popular decks in the current meta. Perhaps this is one of the main reasons why many people are currently using a variation of this deck. If you have a bit of experience playing Legends Of Runeterra, I highly recommend checking it out.

That is it for now, guys. This will be the first of many Legends Of Runeterra deck reviews and other content that I will be posting on this site. Make sure to subscribe here to get regular updates. Many thanks for indulging me in this blog post.

Until the next post. Ciao!
