Elderflame finisher

Valorant’s first Ultra Edition skins dubbed Elderflame was announced recently on their Twitter account. Based on the Elderflame line’s announcement video, this skin line will be unlike anything Riot has released so far.

Other skin lines released in Valorant such as the Prime or Sovereign set already feature cool effects. These effects, unlocked with Radianite points, include alternate reload animations, firing noises, and even cool finishers when players secure kills. The Elderflame skin line takes these to the next level. The set featured a dragon-motif in the teaser but the actual product ended up with so much more. Players who use the skins in the upcoming set won’t be firing just cool-looking guns, they’ll be firing actual dragons! The skin line’s trailer features animated, living dragons replacing their ordinary, inanimate counterparts. The dragon guns have fiery animations to match their looks. They shoot fiery bullets, burp after you finish firing, and call down a fiery dragon to consume enemies killed.

It looks like some of the guns receiving an Elderflame skin based on the trailer are a pistol, a rifle, a sniper rifle, and a melee weapon. I’m not entirely sure which of Valorant’s guns will be receiving a dragon makeover but based on the gun animations the Frenzy, Vandal, and Operator look like the possible recipients.

Players who’ve played Riot Games’ other title League of Legends might think the Elderflame line is similar to the MOBA’s Dragon Trainer skins. League of Legends champions who have a Dragon Trainer skin use living dragons in place of their traditional weaponry.

Valorant’s Elderflame skins will be released on the game’s in-game store on July 10. The Elderflame skin bundle will cost $95.
