The newest Valorant map Pearl has finally arrived on the game’s live servers, and a special Pearl-only queue is now open for players to get comfortable with the map.

Valorant Pearl is a vast underwater playground with long, tight lanes and linked passageways that requires a deep understanding of how to use utility to take control of Mid to prevail.

Here is the ideal agent arrangement for Pearl.

Best Agent Lineup on Pearl

Viper, Fade, Raze, Astra, Cypher/Chamber

A single controller composition may not be the best, given Pearl’s immense size. On the underwater map, numerous sightlines need to be blocked off, and using two controllers will increase your freedom for mid-round rotations and adaptations.

The default controller for the map is obviously going to be Viper. Her free signature ability, Toxic Screen wall, which may block more than one sightline on both sites, is extremely valuable. She can, for instance, use her Poison Cloud to obstruct B Tower and cut B site in half, allowing attackers to go for an early plant.

While Toxic Screen and Poison Cloud are active, her wall cannot be recovered, which is incredibly punitive for her fuel drain. As a result, she has fewer options if her initial wall setup does not go as intended, and her squad will have very little time to execute after her wall and smoke are up.

astra and cypher

With a second controller, this weakness can be overcome. Astra seems like a wise choice because, on a map of the scale of Pearl, her ability to deploy smokes globally is a significant advantage. Despite the fact that she only has four stars, she should do well in compositions where there is a viper to fall back on.

At the same time, her Nova Pulse and Gravity Well might come in handy for knocking defenders off awkward angles.

You can’t go wrong with Cypher as your sentinel agent. When it comes to monitoring the flanks, his two Trapwires offer a clear advantage over Chamber’s lone Trademark slow, while his Spycam can provide crucial intelligence on the other end of the map.

As an alternative, Chamber can be used in place of Cypher to benefit from his oppressiveness on the Operator due to the wide sightlines on B site. The French sentinel will be challenging to remove from the B site since it has a variety of view positions to hold from.

Fade is developing into one of Pearl’s most powerful initiators. To aid her team gain ground early in the game, her two Prowlers are ideal for navigating the constricting corners at Mid or A Art. Additionally, almost the whole area of both spike sites is covered by the Nightfall ultimate, which should aid in executes or site retakes.

For the majority of the same reasons that Fade is good, Brazilian duelist Raze is also. Her Boom Bot is yet another useful recon tool, and her Paint Shells grenades can be used in conjunction with Fade’s Seize tether to either kill adversaries or force them out of the map’s numerous tight spots and corners.

In professional play, especially in the EMEA region, the Raze-Fade combo has already started to be used, and Pearl appears to be the perfect setting for the powerful duo.

On July 12, Pearl replaced Split in the Unrated and Competitive queues.
